How to Get 1000+ Page Views in Your First 2 Weeks of Blogging

If youre a new blogger like me, then youre well aware of how overwhelming it can seem to start you own blog. It wasn't until I actually launched my blog that I realized: this isn't as hard as I thought! Yes hard work goes into building your blog, but getting started? It only seemed so daunting because I made it that way.

My blog is only 2 weeks old and I have over 1000 page views. I still haven't converted many of those "views" because I'm still tackling minor obstacles with getting my subscription set up the way I want. But still, for a new blogger to get that many views in 2 weeks?! To me, its a big deal and it keeps me motivated to keep pushing forward!
With this in mind, I've noticed in a lot of the Facebook groups I participate in, many new bloggers still don't know where to start when it comes to getting traffic to their site.

While I am no marketing professional, I am heavily
armed with DAYS of research and information. I've studied blogging so much, and the things I've implemented so far have definitely given my blog results. So I've put together this list of the 3 main resources that got over 1000 people to my blog in just two weeks:

1. Facebook Groups

I was nervous to join groups at first, because I felt like I would be judged for being new or for asking a newbie question. But these groups have actually turned out to be great! In my experience, everyone is super helpful and shares whatever knowledge they can with you. These groups are KEY to growing an audience because there are usually so many members in a group! If your content is on point, your fellow bloggers are going to engage with you and encourage you!
I am in a good amount of groups now, sharing and learning every day while driving traffic to my posts. You still probably feel uneasy about diving into this, so try out big-time blogger Helene Sula's Boost Your Blog group. The Blogging 101 and Blogger Insights groups have been amazing as well. These are only 3 out of the HUNDREDS of groups you can find through the Facebook search bar. Start with these 3 and let's see how you feel!

2. Pinterest Boards

These are another extremely helpful resource for driving traffic to your blog, especially if you have killer images that are appealing to the pinner's eye. That should be your thought process when creating your images. It's not necessarily what looks good to you, but what will appeal to your reader. ANYWAY, it seemed like I could not figure out how to join a Pinterest board to save my life. Until I asked in one of the Facebook groups! I got so many responses thankfully, but only one post from Katherine over at Slightly Savvy that helped me the most. 60 Pinterest Group Boards for Lifestyle Bloggers to Grow Their Traffic + Monetize Their Blog literally has 60 different Pinterest boards you can join as long as you follow the board creator's rules. She even divided them up into niche categories for us!
Katherine, youre amaze-balls, thank you so much for this! Take a look at what group would fit your blog best and join it! The rest is downhill :)

3. The Income Journey E-Book

I'm really not one to pay for things like this when there is so much FREE information out there. BUT -- something was different about the author, Suzi Whitford. She is the mastermind behind Start a Mom Blog and I first wanted to be her friend after watching one of her video talks through The Blog Summit. She's a mom like me, and many of you reading this so there was so much to relate to with her. Anyway, I didn't feel like I was being preyed on by a big-time blogger just trying to make their money. After reviewing what is covered in this e-book, I knew I was going to get my questions answered. I knew I was going to finally get somewhere with my blog, and the best part is - it didn't cost me an arm, leg, or my first born child. In 11 steps, she covers everything from how to pick your niche, how to network with other bloggers, how to stay consistent, and HOW TO MAKE MONEY. I was actually proud after I purchased it and began reading! I had invested in myself, and my "business", and all my questions were getting answered! I think youre ready to do the same.

Maybe an e-book is not for you. If that's the case, that's ok! Suzi has many other tools that may be a better fit for you. Its all about finding what works FOR YOU. I hope these 3 tips bring you the growth that they brought me, just stay active and stay consistent!

Happy writing!

Xo,
Jaimee
