7 Baby Products That Need to be on Your Baby Registry + free checklist!

As moms, we are naturally inclined to make things go as smooth as possible. We create structure and love in the most caring ways. We also balance other things for the family, like grocery shopping, laundry, finances, etc. With that being said, I think it's safe to assume that every mom can appreciate something that makes life a little easier, & an easy price. So I have put together this list of my 7 favorite baby products that won't cost an arm and a leg!

**There are affiliate links in this post, which means I receive a small commission if you make a purchase through my link, at no extra cost to you. The items listed are ones I've personally tried, in real life & trust enough to recommend to you. Your support is appreciated!**

I'm currently the mother of 2 toddlers, who you've probably seen on my Instagram. Brook & Ben, who are 3 & 1. They are quite the characters so you'll hear about them a lot ;) We just found out our 3rd blessing is on its way, due at the end of January 2018. *internally squeals uncontrollably* I always said 2 kids was enough, but..its amazing at how big a mother's heart can grow. I cannot wait for our new baby to be here!

I thought I'd mention that this time around, I'll be using the Amazon Baby Registry for the few items I will need for baby #3. Let me just say I'm super sad that I didn't know about this with my 2 previous pregnancies because this would've saved me a lot of hassle. There's so many things about it that makes it the right choice, but my favorite feature about this particular baby registry is that they offer "universal registry". This means if I can't find what I'm looking for on Amazon itself, it allows me to add whatever I want, from any other site. Perfect because I don't do well with restrictions. I like variety. I especially love that I won't have to go into a store and scan item after item (because Brooklyn likes to see how fast she can run away from me while I'm getting b*tch-slapped by Ben). Major time, gas, and sanity saver, for sure.

Aside from that, they also offer free shipping on orders over $49 and 10% off across Amazon for registry completion (15% if you're a Prime member). If you want to check out all the details, you can do so here. I was a Prime member once & I don't know why I ever cancelled *eyeroll emoji*. That 2 day shipping was a winner for my impatience, so I'll most likely join Prime again just for that lol. So without prolonging it any further, lets get into those goodies that are going to make life so much easier for you as a new (or returning) mama:

1. Moby Wrap --
This is definitely a NECESSITY. We received one at our son's baby shower & I used the crap outta' that thing. My son was a big boy first of all, 9lbs 7oz at birth. So holding him got tiring, FAST. And while we all love to snuggle our babies, things still have to get done! To keep up with Brooklyn and chores around the house, I'd wrap Ben up against me and stick a pacifier in his mouth. He'd fall asleep and only wake up if I stopped moving, which let me get all kinds of things done, as well as play with Brookie. Add this to your list, girlfriend. Your arms will thank you later.

2. Tommee Tippee Bottles --
My 1st baby, Brooklyn, was exclusively breastfed for the first 13 months of her life so she never took a bottle. Ben on the other hand, breastfed for 3 weeks and said "FEED ME SOMETHING ELSE OR I'M GUNNA KEEP SCREAMING". So we switched to formula and finally got use of these awesome bottles we had received at Brooklyn's baby shower. He took to them NO PROBLEM after being used to boobie, and I think its because of their nipple design. It's wider and flatter, mimicking a mother's natural nipple, so it was easier for him to latch on and make the switch. I highly recommend these if you're going to use bottles. These ones are even anti-colic, so no gassy/fussy baby ;)

3. Playtex Diaper Genie --
OMG BECKY, do not skip this one. This is also a NECESSITY. Baby diapers stink obviously, and if you try throwing them in your regular trash can, you'll soon realize why that was a bad idea. These hold a crap-load of diapers (no pun intended ha ha) and it keeps the odor out of the room. You can add the bag refills to your registry as well because you will be needing them.

4. Hiccapop Wipe Warmer --
This may sound extravagant, but it really isn't. Nothing will piss off your newborn like a cold wipey during a midnight diaper change. My mom got us one and I really didn't think it was going to be THAT useful but..I was wrong and Mom was right (as usual). You just throw the wipes in, and boom..they get warm. Both babies loved it. It even serves as a little night light, with the light it has on the front :)

5. Vicks Starry Night Humidifier --
My sister-in-law got us this, and it was literally a life-saver. When Brook or Ben got sick, this was all that worked to clear up their stuffy noses (aside from having to clear their noses with that bulb sucker thing, which was like trying to restrain an angry crocodile). We still use this actually, as Ben's nightlight and for the fan "humming", it puts him to sleep :)

6. Skip Hop Bath Spout Cover --

OK NO JOKE, this is the best thing in our bath. Once our babies could securely sit up on their own, I started putting them in the big tub for real baths. There has been many times that I was literally thankful for this spout cover. You may not need it right off the bat, but as babies grow, they get curious and bath time is no exception. They wanna know what those knobs and handles do! But, it is so easy for them to slip and hit their face/head/mouth on that spout, which can lead to big ouchies. Luckily, we always had this on, and while both babies have bonked their head on the spout before, there was not even a tear shed because of this spout cover. Pick whatever cover you'd like but please add it, like right now.

7. Boppy Nursing Pillow & Positioner --
This is another thing I have kept since first receiving it, because it is SO useful. I received this pillow at Brooklyn's baby shower, and it came in handy with both babies. If I was nursing Brooklyn, I just propped this right under her and it took the weight off my arm, making it so much more comfortable to feed her. Same with my big baby Ben, I was able to position him on it to feed him his bottles comfortably. These are good for just cuddling baby too, it gives them a sense of security and gives you support while holding them. As my babies grew, I also used this pillow for tummy time and it assisted them when they were learning to sit :)

There are tons of baby products out there, and these are not the only ones you'll need. Other lists can get so long and excessive, so I put together a checklist of the other items you will actually use for your baby that you can download here. By all means, do your research. Read reviews and decide what will work best for you and your baby's lifestyle. These were just the most useful and convenient for me as a mom of 2! They've worked great, then and now, and have yet to fail me. I hope you find everything you need and want for your new baby, and if we don't talk til then, CONGRATS!
